Basics
The preferences in Snak are separated into the application preferences that are
accessed from Preferences… in the Edit menu (Cmd-R) and the channel specific
settings that are under Channel Settings… , also in the Edit menu.
The application settings cover such things as the message format, highlighting,
window layout and more.
The channel settings cover such things as the window background color, default
channel voice and visible activity.
As a shortcut you can also access the channel settings by clicking on the channel
topic in the channel window.
The application preferences take effect immediately when you make a choice –
there is no need to save preferences or close the window.
If more than one person uses Snak on a particular computer then you can let each
user have his or her own set of preferences by creating a preference file for
each user.
To do this you can use the Make New Preference File command in the File menu.
This saves a copy of the current preferences to a file for another person to use.
To start Snak up with a particular set of preferences, double click on the new
preference file. If you start the program up normally by launching the program
alone, it will use the default preferences in the system folder.
